Bay Area Real Estate Information Service (BAREIS) Multiple Listin Service (MLS) just released Marin County Homes Closed Sale Report with Two-Month Comparison for 2007 and 2008.  The two months period covered are November and December.

The report includes Single Family Residencies, Condo/Co-Op, Farms and Ranches, Mobile and Floating Homes.  The towns covered are all Marin County towns - Beveldere, Corte Madera, Greenbrae, Kentfield, Larkspur, Marinwood, Mill Valley, Novato, San Anselmo, San Rafael, Sausalito, Tiburon and other West Marin towns such as Point Reyes, Bolina,..,etc

We can see that anything PRICE related has a dramatic drop - Average Price, Median Price, and Adjusted Average Price.  A lot of the pricing changes have something to do with the distressed properties now in Mairn county (from Novato, slowly going down to South Marin) - Short Sales, REO (Bank Owned), Foreclosures or just super motivated sellers. 

The highest and lowest prices were not included so that a $19,000,000 does not have a dramatic impact on the prices of the other homes - Guess whose home is that $19,000,000 sale ...  Wouldn't you want to be THAT Realtor?  Come Back and Check later... :-)
