Phyllis Cope Donation Drive - "PLEASE consider driving all leftover items from your sale to the Goodwill locations (7th and Grant or Behind Marshall's at Vintage Oaks) today (Sept 17) in order to raise vouchers for the Novato Human Needs Center clients who will benefit from the Phyllis Donation Drive going on Sept 17 until 4 PM. All donations are converted into vouchers so Novato Human Needs Center clients can purchase clothing and household items at any Goodwill store. Here are tips from San Marin Improvement Association (only $15 to join):

• Gather your old items and get ready to sell.  For those who have not participated before here is how it works: The SMIA (Sponsored by Sylvia Barry) will place advertisements in Marin IJ (both Print and Online Classified) and Craigslist, directing people to San Marin area for multiple garage sales
• Signs will be placed along San Marin Drive notifying neighbors of the garage sale.
• You hold the garage sale at your house - be sure to put a sign directing people to turn down your street!
• The ad will specify that over 100 homes will participate, let's reach that goal.
• Note that Novato Disposal stopped Fall Clean Up this year.  Instead, homeowners can call Novato Disposal for special pick ups four times a year. Please call Novato Disposal (415) 897-4177 for details.

Garage Sale List below and Map are only for households who chose to be included.  There are many more households participating.   Maps will be placed at corner of San Marin/Simmons Lane and San Marin/San Andreas.  First Come, First Serve.    

(* To My Neighbors: It would be wonderful if you can donate some of your Garage Sale Proceeds to our local public schools or Novato School Fuel.  Put San Marin Neighbors on the check and let me know.  I'd love to have a tally of how much we, as a neighborhood, donate to those worthy causes from our Garage Sale proceeds.*)
